Lasik laser eye surgery<\/h2>\n

Lasik stands for Laser- Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis. In this procedure, two separate lasers are utilized, first a Femtosecond laser creates a hinged flap. This Flap is elevated and cornea underneath the flap is remodelled with an excimer laser. It’s a small day care procedure.<\/p>\n\n

When light does not focus on your retina properly, your vision becomes blurry and leads to a condition called refractive error. The basic conditions where Lasik can treat the conditions are:<\/p>\n

  • Nearsightedness (myopia)<\/strong> – It is a condition, in which you see things clearly when they\u2019re close to you, but things become blurry when they move away. <\/li>\n
  • Farsightedness (hyperopia)<\/strong> – In this condition, you tend to see faraway things more clearly, but they become blurry as they move closer.<\/li>\n
  • Astigmatism<\/strong> – In this condition, everything looks blurry both nearby and distant objects. Corneal curvature and flatness plays a major role in eyesight.<\/li>\n
  • Presbyopia<\/strong> – It is an age related condition in which the eye lens loses its ability to focus on nearby objects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>
