    With monofocal lenses a small adjustment known as monovision can be done with a combination of the two different powered lenses, one for far and one for near. Monovision is to have the ability to focus on near objects and far objects with both eyes open. The combination of the lens provides you better vision at most distances.     Procedure of RLE<\/h2>\n

    RLE procedure involves instillation of topical anaesthetic eye drops before the surgery. These will make your eye numb and hence procedure will be painless and comfortable.<\/p>\n

    The surgeon creates a sub 2 mm small opening in the eye. The cloudy fragments of the natural lens are removed via a laser probe. A foldable IOL is then inserted into the capsular bag via the same small opening.The entire surgery hardly takes 20 minutes to complete. But you may still have to wait for 2 hours before leaving the hospital.<\/p>\n

    Someone has to drive you home on the day of surgery. In addition, you may experience mild blurry vision for a few days after the surgery.<\/p>\n
