Epi-Contoura is the latest type of topography-guided surface ablation system, and it has been shown to produce even better outcomes than custom PRK. This technology creates a more accurate three-dimensional map of the eye, to create a precise, individualized ablation profile for each patient.
The Epi Contoura procedure itself is very unique and precise. You can expect the surgery itself to be completed within 5 -10 minutes. There is no need for sedation or local anesthesia, only topical anaesthetic drops are used to numb the eye during the procedure.
After the procedure, you may experience some redness and watering of the eyes, but this should go away within a few hours. It is important to avoid rubbing or touching your eyes during this time.

Dr. Nitin Dedhia is my family's eye specialist since long time. My grandmoms cataract surgery was done by him around 20 years ago. She is still having very good eyesight at 90.
