Mobile Eye Examination Camps — Ojas Maxivision Eye Hospitals (Bandra & Kandivali)

September 5, 2025

Bring comprehensive, hospital-grade eye screening to your workplace, school, society, or CSR site. Our clinical team conducts on site examinations using the Portable, clinically validated devices—a compact, battery powered setup that enables quick, reliable assessments without needing a full clinic.

Anterior Segment Evaluation (Portable Slit Lamp – PSL D20)

What We Test (and How We Do It)

Anterior Segment Evaluation (Portable Slit Lamp – PSL D20)

What it checks: Eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea, anterior chamber, iris, and lens to identify conditions such as dry eye, conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers/abrasions, pterygium, and cataract.

How it’s done: Our clinician uses a handheld digital slit-lamp to examine the front of the eye and capture clinical photographs when needed. Multiple illumination modes (diffuse, slit, blue/green) and variable slit width/angle provide detailed views. Images can be saved to the patient record for review and follow-up.

Outcome: Same-day findings with guidance on treatment or referral for further care.

Retinal Imaging & AI Assisted Screening (Fundus on Phone – FOP NM 10)

What it checks: The retina, optic nerve, and macula to screen for diabetic retinopathy (DR), glaucoma‑related changes, age‑related macular degeneration (AMD), hypertensive changes, and other posterior‑segment conditions.

How it’s done: A non-mydriatic (generally no dilation) handheld fundus camera captures high-resolution images of the back of the eye. Offline AI provides rapid flags for referable DR and other sight-threatening conditions. A doctor reviews images and AI outputs before final recommendations.

Outcome: On-the-spot risk identification and prioritized referrals if needed.

Refractive Error Measurement (Instaref R20 Autorefractor)

Refractive Error Measurement (Instaref R20 Autorefractor)

What it checks: Objective measurement of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism to estimate your glasses power.

How it’s done: A handheld wavefront‑based autorefractor provides a quick reading of each eye. For those who need prescription updates, we advise a confirmatory subjective refraction at our hospital to finalize spectacles/contact lenses.

Outcome: Clear guidance on whether your current glasses are adequate or an update is advisable.

diabetic retinopathy (DR)

Intraocular Pressure (IOP) — Optional (Handheld Tonometer)

What it checks: Eye pressure, an important risk factor for glaucoma.

How it’s done: A quick, handheld tonometry test performed by our clinician. Results are interpreted alongside optic nerve and retinal findings.

Outcome: Early detection of pressure‑related risk, with appropriate follow‑up if elevated.

FAQs (Quick Answers)

Do you dilate the eyes?

Most fundus photos are taken without dilation. Dilation may be advised selectively to improve view or when clinically indicated.

Are the tests safe?

Yes. The devices use safe, clinic standard illumination and optics. No radiation is involved.

How long does it take?

Each participant typically completes core screening within a short, single session on site. (Exact time depends on headcount and package.)

Can you provide glasses on site?

We provide objective refraction screening on site and can organise prescription fulfilment after confirmatory testing at our hospital.

Will my data be secure?

Yes. Images and results are stored securely and are available for clinical review and follow up.
